DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING EXERCISE FOR 2014/2015 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Direct Entry Screening Exercise for 2014/2015 academic session will take place on Friday, 26th September, 2014 in designated centres within Ugbowo Campus of the University. All candidates are expected to be seated, latest, one hour before the stipulated time for the screening exercise.
NOTE: Only candidates who applied through JAMB for Direct Entry Admission and chose University of Benin as First Choice are eligible for the Screening Exercise.

The University of Benin in collaboration with the African /Economic Research Consortium, Nairobi, Kenya, wishes to announce the admission of students into the collaborative Ph.D Programme in Economics for the 2014/2015 session. The programme is designed to train a cadre of highly qualified teachers and researchers in Economics. It is a part of a larger Programme designed to provide world-class training o economists by African University for countries in Sub-Sahara Africa.

The attention of the authorities of the University of Benin has been drawn to page 13 of the Guardian Newspapers of Monday, 11th August 2014, and Vanguard Newspapers of 13th August. Contained therein on are write – ups to the effect that the absence of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin is now a source of anxiety to members of staff of the University. It speculates further that the absence is hampering the day-to-day running of the University.
